My plan for today was a trip to the park, or the beach... even a meal out. But NO, rain has most definitely stopped play! so while LJ goes to Choi and TJ watches other people play games on youtube I have been researching Emergency ID Cards.
Emergency ID Cards are kept in with your stuff as the name suggests they are emergency identity cards, but they go further than just telling people who you are and where you live, they tell them of allergies you may have, and medicines you are taking. They have a photo, you contact details, where you live, and on the back of them I am planning to use a Lund and Browder Chart to show any previous injuries such as broken bones, scars and other identifying marks.

I initially went to a website which was described to me as one that 'allows you to easily enter the information and add pictures to create an emergency id for free'. I found out that this is not true, they must have changed the pricing policy since the refering website was published. They now cost $12.95 PER CARD! So I used the template and saved it to my computer and when i have time (and a working printer) I plan to crop and print the card images and laminate them.
This is the screen you work with ( I must remember to clear up my screen before taking a screenshot).
This is the example card, I will be changing some of the field so they with better with what is needed.
For instance i will only be putting the YEAR OF BIRTH not the full date, and the address will be the town and county, possibly the postcode and street name but not the house number. I will have to make one now and see how it looks!
If you are wondering I will be allocating one for each child, one for me, not sure about the OH but I will make him one and keep a spare in a G.O.O.D manual (see this website Ready Nutrition , its also where I got the idea for the Childs ID Cards.
Now to set up the cards, print them out, laminate them and make a G.O.O.D. Manual.
